Quantitative Analysis
I tried to think of a title that barely meant anything but still had some kind of relevance to what I wanted to talk about. Therefore, I present to you my quantitative analysis of the first 6 months of the poker calendar for me, and the forecast for the remaining 6.

January went okay, I made a couple of middle-late runs in $11 buyin tournaments that started at midnight on Stars. Brutal on my body, but worth the bucks cause I kept getting around 300% ROI. I was also running really well playing cash, putting together a string of +ROI nights, many of them in the quad digits.

The end of March saw me start to stumble, and led to a 2 month slide where I continuously got my money in good and lost every single time. This was worrying considering I had decided to travel to Vegas and play a WSOP event, something I am planning to do every year now (and maybe 2 or 3!)

I entered a tournament on Monday night, June 1st, and while I didn't cash, I made a run at the final table, managing to get lucky a couple times to feel like the bad run was finally over.

June saw me head to Vegas and drop $2500 on a WSOP event, $2500 NLHE, and while I played very solid poker, making good decisions, I ran unluckily in one hand that lost over 70% of my slightly above average stack, and was forced to grind a short stack for nearly 5 hours before busting with AT running into KK. Unfortunate, but my play has my confidence returning, and I made a few cashes in non-hold'em MTTs on Pokerstars this month, before starting to run bad again and tilting a bit. I built my bankroll back up to $70 in one night of 50c/$1 2-7 triple draw, but I'm still down about $30 on my initial deposit at the start of June.

July and August will be saving months for me, trying not to spend too much while I work on saving money for WCOOP in September, and the BC Poker Championships in November. And a trip back to Vegas in December for my brother's 21st birthday. So at this rate, I'll be going to Vegas every 6 months, lol.

I tend to play stronger in later months of the year, so we'll see how September and November go. I'm hoping for that big break, but I'll settle for some medium cashes.
